Short background story:

Beside all the modern EDM, Pop and dance music in general, this is something special. The 'Freestyle' genre , or so called 'Miami Bass',  was one of the big things in the late 80's and early 90's, (well, at least here in Germany ) But since some overproduced and over-technofied tracks at the end of this era (Music Instructor, Members of Mayday etc.) the original genre was almost dead and disappeared from all speakers.

Thankfully this early kind of 808 drivin' drum style set some milestones for a bunch of todays music genres (Trap, Phonk, Rap/HipHop, Dance & Breaks [...]) 

Of course my stupid gossip boils down to the same thing again: We're still stuck in the 90's!
